To help restaurants comply with the Village of Oak Park's polystyrene ordinance, the Village and the Smart Energy Design Assistance Center (SEDAC) have teamed up to develop a sample list of environmentally-friendly (compostable, recyclable) disposable foodware as part of its Green Business Program initiative.

The lists are by no means exhaustive, but an opportunity to explore available products and their manufacturers. The Village does not recommend one manufacturer or product over another, but is providing the information for exploration and to support restaurants in meeting the ordinance requirements.
