Get outside with your neighbors and join experts on a stroll through Oak Park to learn about our trees and do bark rubbings. Bike, roll, or walk to the event to get a prize!

About the event
Trees are full of beauty, joy and mystery, not to mention important for helping our community be a healthy place for humans and wildlife alike.
Enjoy a 1 hour walk and learn about Oak Park’s stately street trees.
--Learn how to identify them by their leaves, bark and branching.
--Make tree bark rubbings (materials supplied)
--If you walk, roll or bike to the event, get a free plant or be entered to win "Go Hug a Tree" artwork by local artist Imani @Theepitohme
We are honored to be led by these three experts:
Trinity Pierce is the Stewardship Manager of Chicago Region Trees Initiative and an ISA Certified Arborist. She grew up in Oak Park.
Adrian Ayres Fisher is a board member of West Cook Wild Ones and a site steward for National Grove Woods, a Cook County Forest Preserve.
Theresa Radke is Volunteer Program Specialist with the Cook County Forest Preserves.
